short list of the most frequently asked questions about our rental program.
What is helpful in the
rental process? Having a good technical understanding of your
application helps eliminate errors and downtime. Even the same model of an
instrument you are familiar with can vary in revisions and features. We are
always ready to assist you with any technical questions you may have.
What is the normal rental
term? The normal rental term for 90% of the units is one week.
However some units have a minimum rental period of two or four weeks. Rental to
non EU countries has a two week minimum.
How do I
pay for a rental? We accept standard purchase orders subject to
credit approval using Dunn and Bradstreet credit ratings. Depending on your
credit score, a deposit or insurance may be required.
How is the rental billed? It is billed when the unit
is shipped and then at the end of each finished month. A final invoice is
issued, if the unit is returned before the end of the month.
When does the rental period start and stop? We
invoice at the start of every calendar week. This means if you require the unit
at your site on a Wednesday, you will be charged for the full calendar week.
After the end of the Rental Period the Unit/s should be returned to Pforzheim,
Germany by end of Business on the following Tuesday . If you fail to do, you
will be charged for the full calendar week.

the unit immediately, please contact the Customer Care department. There will
be an additiona cost for express handling and shipping.

everything is in stock and can usually be shipped the same day. Our daily order
cut off is 2 PM German time. After 2 PM, we may be able to ship if it can be
scheduled. If you need it in a hurry, the order and signed rental condition
sheet (subject to financial approval) must be provided before shipping. Our
normal shipping pickups start at around 4 PM. Certain Instruments may require
longer to configure or calibrate so these are only
guidelines.
Can I
reserve a rental unit in advance? It is possible to reserve a
Rental unit one week in advance. A written order must be provided with a signed
rental condition sheet. If we do not receive this, there is no guarantee that
the unit will be available.
Is the unit
calibrated? Where possible, the instrument is verified and
calibrated in one of our Calibration Laboratories. Please download a sample
certificate of the required unit for your reference from our rental web
pages.

equipment? You are responsible for the safekeeping of all
equipment and shall bear the risk of loss for any reason, and shall insure each
item of equipment against loss or damage for not less than the replacement
value of each item and if requested shall provide evidence of such insurance.
