Metals & Mining

A line up of unique, high technology products provide solutions to the challenges faced by several industry segments - from nuclear fuel processing or reprocessing plants to oceanographic and remediation industries. These products address flow, depth, and level measurement – bringing in stability to process conditions and requiring little to no maintenance. For example, the latest generation of fully submersible sensors can be used in hostile fluids where materials, such as stainless steel, cannot be considered. They can be used in a variety of applications from the smallest diameter boreholes to canals, rivers, and reservoirs. They are ideally suited for depth and level application in the oceanographic and remediation industries.

Ultrasonic Liquid Flowmeter - DF868 DF868 Fixed-Installation Ultrasonic Liquid Flowmeter
This flowmeter is based on GE Infrastructure Sensing’s award-winning TransPort PT868 portable ultrasonic liquid flowmeter. With two built-in measuring modes and clamp-on flow transducers, the DF868 flowmeter measures flow rate through metal, plastic, and even concrete-lined pipes without penetrating the pipe wall. Using advanced technology available only from GE, an innovative TransFlection mode expands the DF868 flowmeter’s measuring capabilities to include applications previously handled only by Doppler meters, such as raw sewage, sludge, slurries, and other extremely attenuating multiphase fluids.

Depth & Level Pressure Sensor - PTX/PDCR 1830 PTX/PDCR 1830 Series Depth and Level Pressure Sensors - Reaching New Heights
This product series is the latest offering of GE Infrastructure Sensing in over 20 years of experience in manufacturing pressure sensors, specifically for depth and level measurement. At the heart of the 1830 Series is a high stability pressure sensing element manufactured from micro-machined silicon developed within the company’s own Class 100 processing facility. A titanium isolation diaphragm protects the silicon-sensing element thereby enabling the sensors to be used for hostile of fluids. The series is ideally suited for depth and level application in the oceanographic and remediation industries. The 1830 Series depth-sensing transmitters are backed by five-year corrosion warranty.
