<description>A Protimeter HygroTrac environmental monitoring system from GE Sensing &amp; Inspection Technologies is helping the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) to measure existing relative humidity and temperature levels within a Grade II listed building. These measurements will then be compared with measurements taken after the building has undergone simple and inexpensive modifications to establish the effect of the modifications on the building’s energy efficiency. The system was installed in December 2008 and has already yielded useful data for the project team, prior to the initiation of the modification work in May 2009.</description>

One technician was able to carry out cross contamination mapping of a plant manufacturing antibiotics in just two days and the instrument proved just as capable of operating in the less hygienic environments of the plant warehouse as in the environmentally controlled production and packaging departments.</description>
