GE Introduces Multi-Range Pressure Calibration System
- New Series 7250-SYS Provides Turn-key Solution for Calibrating Pressure Sensors -
Houston, TX - June 8, 2004 - GE Infrastructure Sensing, a leading provider of precision sensing products, systems and services, announced today the immediate availability of a new multi-range pressure calibration system providing customers with a turn-key solution for calibrating pressure sensors, transducers, transmitters and mechanical gauges over a wide pressure range.
The new Series 7250-SYS is available in three configurations to meet a variety of customers’ applications and requirements - a 12 range system for pressures to 2500 psi, and two 8 range systems, one for pressures to 1000 psi and another for pressures to 2500 psi are available. For the broadest performance and pressure range coverage, customers can select the 12 range system that provides a total uncertainty, two sigma, of 0.01% of reading from 0.5 to 2500 psi. Although the 7250-SYS can include either 8 or 12 ranges, switching between ranges to a single test port for connecting the device under test is automatic and transparent to the operator. The System can be operated via the front panel with a full color display and keypad, or under PC control through the supplied IEEE-488 interface.
"The 7250-SYS represents a new era of providing turn-key pressure calibration systems to our customers in terms of performance, ease of use and price," stated Jim Henke, Product Manager at GE Infrastructure Sensing. "The 7250-SYS relieves customers of having to use in-house resources to construct a complete system that includes not only multiple range pressure calibrators, but also the support equipment required such as pressure regulators, vacuum pumps and gas boosters"
The 7250-SYS complements GE’s Series 7250 Digital Pressure Controllers, which are available in various ranges from 0-10 inH2O for draft range devices, up to 2500 psi. Other models such as the 7310 are available for pneumatic pressures to 10,000 psi and the 7615, which uses liquid media to provide an automated calibration solution for pressure ranges to 40,000 psi.
