GE Introduces New Pressure Training Course "Principles of Automated Pressure Calibration" emphasizes automated pressure calibrators for pressure sensors, transmitters, gauges and portable calibrators
Billerica, Mass. – March 25, 2008
GE Sensing & Inspection Technologies announces a new training course on pressure, "The Principles of Automated Pressure Calibration." The new course complements GE’s Advanced Pressure Metrology class, which has been attended by personnel from national metrology institutes, government organizations and commercial industries, globally, since 1960.
"The Principles of Automated Pressure Calibration" emphasizes automated pressure calibrators, such as GE’s Ruska 7250 series and Druck DPI 515 digital pressure controllers, for calibrating pressure sensors, transmitters, gauges and portable calibrators. The course will cover how to set-up and install these instruments to ensure optimum performance, operating locally via the front panel and remotely using GE Intecal Advanced software, and performing periodic maintenance procedures. A variety of hands-on calibrations will be performed by students, covering low pressure, gauge, absolute and vacuum modes. They will then perform an uncertainty analysis using actual results. The course will also cover tips and techniques on writing pressure calibration procedures in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025.
