GE Sensing Announces Psyclone™ Handheld Hygrometer
Operators can improve inspection times up to 80 percent using GE’s Psyclone™

GE Sensing announces the release of the Psyclone
hygrometer, a handheld temperature and humidity measurement system. The Psyclone is the only handheld hygrometer to offer a wide range of psychometric calculations, with additional facilities for surface temperature measurement.
The Psyclone is designed for use in the indoor air quality, HVAC and environmental health industries. Using the Psyclone, operators can improve inspection times up to 80 percent due and more precisely tune their process to maximize output, via Psyclone’s highly accurate readings and industry leading fast response times.
“When measuring humidity and temperature of different environments, it is essential to have an instrument that responds quickly to the changes,” said Chris Ranwell, Global Product Manager, Gas & Moisture, GE Sensing. “The Psyclone has a very fast response time to changing environments, meeting this critical need for operators.”
A durable, easy-to-use hygrometer with a fast response time and highly accurate data, the Psyclone enables users to measure facility atmospheres for verification of commercial HVAC systems. It can also detect atmospheres and conditions that lead to deterioration of building materials and potential for mold growth.
The Psyclone includes is equipped with a wide range of features, including retractable probes, navigation style interface, full range of RH% +/-2 percent precision, a temperature range of –4 to 180°F, (-20 - 85°C) min/max/ave function, backlight display, belt clip, wall mount and durable design with silicone molded grip. The Psyclone calculates eight different psychometric parameters in metric and non-metric measurements.
