A user-friendly high accuracy loop calibrator in the palm of your hand – Introducing GE-Sensing’s UPS III IS
BILLERICA, MASSACHUSETTS, OCTOBER 2006 – An essential tool
for loop testing, instrument maintenance and valve set-up, the UPS
III IS from GE Sensing provides 0.015% accuracy, which is 10 times
better than a typical DMM. The rugged, hand-held UPS
III IS loop calibrator is an ATEX- and IEC-approved addition to
the widely established Druck/Unomat UPS Series of test instruments.
“Designed for use in hazardous locations, the UPS III IS features a large, easy-to-read, menu-driven graphic display that’s a vast improvement on traditional knobs, switches and multi-function keys,” said Tom Reid, test and calibration product manager at GE Sensing. “This pocket-sized test instrument will measure or source 0 to 24 mA and convert these readings to percent flow, which is not possible with many loop calibrators currently on the market. It should be a great benefit to our customers, saving them time and money on most applications where this instrument is needed.”
Auto Step and Ramp functions provide the user with hands-free operation
of tasks commonly required for loop
calibrators, while the Step and Span modes furnish quick and easy
linearity tests and zero/span adjustments.
Powered by two AA-sized alkaline batteries, the UPS III IS also features adjustable display contrast and resolution and provides a menu-selectable Hart® resistor when working with digital communication devices. The UPS III IS comes standard with a leather case with strap, certificate of calibration, user guide, test leads and batteries.
