New GE Sensing Service Centre in Dubai provides local support for the Middle East
Dubai, UAE, September 23, 2005 - GE Sensing, a leading provider of precision sensing products, systems and services, announced today that it has opened a new Service Centre in Dubai to provide local support to customers in the middle east. Together with a dedicated network of Dubai based engineers, this centre will ensure an enhanced level of service and response throughout the region.
As a recent example, GE Sensing recently held four training courses at the Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) Training Centre in Muscat, Oman. Based in the field and classroom, each three day course provided valuable hands-on opportunities for PDO Maintenance Technicians to learn more about the GE Sensing range of ultrasonic technology flowmeters used throughout their facilities.
PDO uses Panametrics GF868 ultrasonic flare
gas flowmeters for monitoring flare gas flows and PT878 portable
clamp-on ultrasonic
liquid flowmeters for a variety of liquid flow survey requirements.
By promoting best practice use of Ultrasonic flow technology in the
field, GE and PDO ensure the most effective metering solution is achieved,
with long term process benefits.
Mr Abdullah Al-Obaidani, PDO’s Production Measurement Specialist and Training Co-ordinator, said:“ The joint effort and training provided by GE Sensing will make PDO staff appreciate the capabilities and limitations of Flowmeters, conduct systematic troubleshooting, reduce the downtime of the devices and reflect a positive image about the products. We appreciate the joint effort to deliver this training which meets our requirement and look forward to similar sessions in the future.”
